A musical memorial service honors Naomi Judd

Naomi Judd's life and legacy were remembered by the country music community on Sunday.

Wynonna Judd sang several of the Judds' hits during the ceremony, which was hosted by her late mother.

Naomi was also described by Ashley Judd as an "icon and a legend who left country music better than she found it."

On Sunday, country music fans remembered Naomi Judd's life and legacy.

At Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium, the singer died on Saturday, 30 April, surrounded by friends, family, and fellow musicians.

Naomi Judd: A River of Time Celebration aired live on CMT in a special hosted by Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts.

During the ceremony, Wynonna Judd sang River of Time with her late mother, who was half of the country duo The Judds. 

Afterwards, she performed The Rose with Brandi Carlile, recreating the band's trademark mother-daughter harmony.
