Bruce Arians' relationship with Tom Brady: New intimacy revealed by former Buccaneers head coach
TB12's personality was discussed by the former Tampa Bay strategist during practice
The timing of Tom Brady's return with the Buccaneers and Bruce Arians' resignation was no accident
according to many people. They believe Brady would only return if Arians was removed as head coach.
Recently, Arians was a guest on The Cook and Joe Show in Pittsburgh and was asked what it was like working with the former New England Patriots quarterback.
"Tom is a fantastic teammate. He's one of those guys who wants everything answered before he goes out on the field.
You make sure nothing is left out of his preparations. He comes to practice like a 12-year-old. He's joking around. He's competing nonstop
Arians said about Brady's role in the Buccaneers' new season.
In comparison to Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger, two other quarterbacks he has coached, Arians said:
"During a two-minute drill [in practice], he threw his helmet and kicked the ball down the field. He loves to compete, just like everyone else.
There's no bigger competitor than Ben [Roethlisberger], and Peyton has no bigger one.
Tom is a unique cat, and I loved watching his interactions with rookies, especially the young receivers, as he took them under his wing and improved them," Arians said. "Everyone learns differently and wants to play games differently, but he is a unique cat."
