The quarterback wound up at the focal point of a virtual entertainment firestorm over the course of the end of the week

with individuals responding to an evident screen capture of an Instagram remark apparently made by his ex Abbey Gile,

in which she blamed Wilson for going behind her back with his mother's closest companion.
