But she is firm and clear that she wants to see the Aziz Ansari-led film get completed one way or the other.

"If anyone can figure it out, it's going to be Aziz," she said in an interview with Variety during the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.

Palmer added that they only had a month left to shoot, so Ansari "had to do a major rewrite" to complete the film.

"But I know what we've got is gold," she said, adding that Ansari is "fantastic" and would love to see him as her director.
