The first TechCrunch Disrupt in person in three years, TechCrunch Disrupt 2022, has concluded.

As always, we conclude by announcing the Startup Battlefield champion.

The firms that competed in the Startup Battlefield were chosen specifically for the competition.

For a chance to win $100,000 and the coveted Battlefield Cup, the firms made pitches to judges over the first two days of Disrupt.

The five finalists were AppMap, Advanced Ionics, Minerva Lithium, Intropic Materials, and Swap Robotics.

Minerva Lithium has created Nano Mosaic, a coordinated polymer framework that absorbs essential components from brine in just three days.

According to Minerva, one metric tonne of lithium may be extracted in three days with just 30,000 gallons of water.

To obtain the same amount of lithium using evaporative brine processing, 500,000 gallons of water must be evaporated.
