The 'Star Wars' prequels were not mentioned by Taika Waititi

The Force is not strong with Taika Waititi. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, 

It was reported in the Wrap that the director of "Love and Thunder" forgot Natalie Portman was in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy. 

The 46-year-old director of "Jojo Rabbit" said to have asked Portman if she was interested in being in a "Star Wars" film while filming "Love and Thunder."

When she asked me, "What's up next?"  Have you ever wanted to be in a “Star Wars” movie?’ ” said Waititi.

"She said, "I've been in a Star Wars" movie." “shall we take again? 

Portman starred as Queen Padmé Amidala in the franchise’s first prequel installment, 1999’s “The Phantom Menace,”

In May 2022, Lucasfilm announced that Waititi would direct a theatrical "Star Wars" film.
